Hi Natalie! I’m not able to comment directly on your blog because it won’t accept my credentials! But you did a GREAT job with these waffles! First of all…..I LOVE the shape of your waffles. What brand name waffle maker do you use? And that was a fabulous idea to turn them into ice cream sandwiches. These didn’t turn crispy enough for me to be able to do that…..but I went in the direction of desserts as well! It sure did look like your beautiful family enjoyed them! Great job!
Thanks Anne! In Australia these seem to be the only waffle irons out there, it’s a breville if thats any help and I’ve had it a few years but I’m sure they’re still avaliable. We sure did enjoy those waffles!!
Hi Katie…..I tried to respond on your blog, but it wouldn’t accept my credentials! I loved your post for 3 reasons! I loved the waffle iron that you found on sale…I loved that you turned your old easter candy into the main ingredient for this challenge….and I love how your waffles turned out! Now YOU are a woman who thinks on her feet! Great job with this recipe! : )
These were okay. I’m not sure I used the right malt powder. So I had to jazz them up a bit for more flavor. Then they were yummy! Hope everyone else enjoyed them!

I wanted to love these. I think all defects were probably my fault. http://bit.ly/JoNIHy

I liked this recipe! It gave me a reason to use up my leftover malted milk eggs.

I think I need a little more practice with a waffle iron to get these right!
