I went with the almond extract variation and added a chocolate-orange glaze.

Absolutely loved this cake. I used Amaretto but am super curious about making it with pecan liqueur.

I thought I would be intimidated by this recipe, but it really wasn’t too bad! Nice and light – and if you couldn’t eat all of it, it might be a good cake to break up and freeze for assembling a trifle later on! (Unfortunately, with the hot humid weather we’ve had here lately, we couldn’t get to eating all of it – just a piece or two – before it succumbed to mold in spots and I had to toss it… ergh!).
That disgusting piece of news aside (I know, TMI), it’s a delicious cake and I loved the texture. Like Sheri, I used amaretto – and wish I could have tried it with pecan liqueur to get the true ‘praline’ effect. If I find some somewhere, I will snatch it up and try this again. Linda, GREAT idea with the chocolate orange glaze! I can’t wait to read all of your links! Here is mine… so happy to join you all!

Hello everyone!
I’m brand new to this adventure & brand new to the blog world. I’m still figuring it all out so it’s pretty rough for now. I am an avid baker & happy to find others who are the same!
I had never made a Chiffon before but have been wanting to for a while now. I honestly thought the recipe was so simple that I wasn’t sure I would like it but I loved it! It also gave me a newfound appreciation for almond extract since I had neither liquour on hand. Delicious cake! Happy to join in the fun.
