I was pleasantly surprised at how easy these were! I had a lot of fun rolling and shaping the pretzels– the possibilities are endless. I definitely plan to make these again and play with more shapes and toppings. I will say that I preferred a savory topping with this recipe– I think the pretzel dough needs to be a little sweeter for the sweet toppings. But overall, I was very pleased! :)

I have to agree that these pretzels seemed to work better as savory as opposed to sweet. But they were surprisingly easy!

I don’t know why mine were overwhelmingly baking soda flavored.

I didn’t use whole wheat flour (sharing them with someone who can’t have whole wheat). I also had a few that had the bitter soda flavor, so maybe I left them in the bath too long…? Fun recipe!

Definitely a fun recipe. I’m not a fan of pretzels but I guess it’s never bad to have a versatile pretzel recipe in your back pocket ;)

Enjoyed making these and hope to practice with this recipe a it more! They were definitely best within the day they were made… after a day or so, not so much.

Hi, this is my first time baking along (and first time blogging in ages). I thought the pretzels were great and can’t wait to try more recipes with this group.

I thought these were fun to make, I’ve never tried making pretzels before. They were just ok out of the oven though.

I passed on the pretzel in favor of making up a missed recipe from before I joined the group: Carrot Coconut Scones with Citrus Glaze: http://www.createamazingmeals.com/2012/09/coconut-scones-with-citrus-glaze-baked.html
