I made the cherry crisps a few weeks ago because Trader Joe’s had fresh cherries. However, they were pretty nasty-looking, and they did not taste good in the baked dish. I’m going to try frozen cherries today…
I was thinking the same thing. It’s impossible to find good fresh cherries this time of year (I live across the street from CJ Olson’s but there’s no way I’m paying those prices for a cherry crisp).
I think frozen is going to be the way to go. Anyone try it yet?
Didn’t have the opportunity to bake this..even thought of using toffee from the chocolate chip section (cheating!) so I could fit it into my schedule. No luck. The posts look amazing.
In the name of baking science, I’m curious: who else besides me and Pinar had batter that got thick like cookie dough after mixing in the eggs? I’m not sure if that’s what’s supposed to happen (it doesn’t sound like it based on the recipe), or if I did something wrong and just got lucky with the final result?
Loved it!

I’m going to look for lots of occasions to make this cake– no groundhog required! :)

We liked this one, but it was not our favorite bunt.
Thinking ahead, does anyone know where to find fresh cherries this time of year? I have started to look without any luck.

What Nicole said – we liked it, but not my favorite Bundt. Toffee was super addicting, though.
