This is a great cookie recipe. I’ve been telling my friends about subbing pretzel pieces for nuts and they all want to try this recipe. Such a fun idea…I had to bake these twice this week to keep my home folks happy.

I mistakenly used low-sodium pretzels and missed the mark for optimal sweet/salty balance. Perhaps it’s not a bad thing though because not everyone’s into this combo. On the bright side, alphabet pretzel is so incredibly cute!

I liked these cookies a lot, but I had a problem with my pretzels getting soggy. Still, a very good sweet-salty cookie!

I made these last fall when I first got the book, so I included the recipe (with permission). I loved these cookies- so addicting!

We really enjoyed these. I forgot to mention though that I did not use the espresso powder since I was making them for kids. I am planning to make them again soon, and I am going to try with the espresso powder to compare.

It’s been a while since I’ve participated (and I feel horrible about it!), but I made these a couple of months ago for a group of baseball players and they loved them. Such a good cookie!

I didn’t love these cookies – wasn’t crazy about the subtle espresso or the pretzels. However, friends loved them.
