We love this cake at our house. It disappeared before I could “decorate” it with fresh fruits and maybe a dab of whipped cream…I’ll just have to bake it again.

I tried this with a lemon extra virgin olive oil this time, and I thought it was fabulous!

Oops! I messed up! I somehow got my end of July and end of August recipes crossed, so I made the Coffee Ice Cream by mistake. It was really good, though!

I loved this cake! I infused the olive oil with some fresh basil and it gave the cake an really delicious, can’t-quite-put-my-finger-on-it taste. I didn’t have a bundt pan, so I used a tube pan instead.

Loved it! But I wasn’t surprised. I’m a big fan of Bundt cakes, and of cakes with oil rather than butter.

Wow! I made the deadline!! Yeah!
I too think I was in the minority on this. While, I liked the cake, I didn’t like it enough to justify the amount I spent on the recommended high-quality olive oil. I guess I was hoping to be blown away, and I was not.

Just wondering if you were going to come back sometime and start posting again. You are missed, even by us that were just lurkers and enjoyed seeing the weekly recipes. Hoping to see you again.
