This was my second venture with this one and it was MUCH better this time around (the first time, we really didn’t like it… I don’t know what made it better, or what changed our opinions this time around!). Delicious but also very rich. A good recipe for summer get-togethers with a few friends perhaps. Loved the ice cream!
Congrats to those of you who made it through all of “Baked Explorations”! What an awesome accomplishment! I wish I had been with you for the entire journey, but am looking forward to working through “Elements” with you – though I will never make all the recipes because I’m far too picky on certain ingredients! LOL (I’ve already missed 1 or 2!)
I loved this pie! It took me by surprise with how delicious it was (I guess that I had never had a Mississippi Mud Pie before?). The only ammendement I made was to cut down on the burbon in the topping, so that it was more friendly for sharing with the little ones
I went rogue, but only a little bit– I made MMP (B), the “Muddy Mississippi Cake”. I’m not a fan of coffee-flavored desserts, and the other one had minimum coffee and an OREO crust… so that was an easy choice. ;-)
Like many have said above, being in this group has been amazing– I am so grateful for the challenges, delights, and new friends that this experience has brought me. Even though I wasn’t here from the beginning, I plan to stick around for a long, long time. Looking forward to new baking adventures with all of you!
I love this group and enjoy everything that we have done together! I am so glad I found you all! It’s been fun and looking forward to many more great shared Baked recipes!
I’m so sorry I missed the last posting for this book! We just returned from a family wedding. We made 50 recipes from this book – with a few more bookmarked.
I have learned to make the best pie crust, ganache, caramel, and so many other wonderful things from this book. And I’ve been encouraged by all of you along the way!
Looking forward to continuing along this journey with you!
My first submission to your website!! This pie was so fun to make, not to mention yummy. So bummed I didn’t hop on this train sooner, but glad I still have a chance to participate.

I can’t believe we’ve really finished the book!
My last recipe was actually the meringues: http://ipso-fatto.blogspot.com/2013/06/baked-sunday-mornings-meringues.html
I made the Mississippi Mud Pie (A) before, at the same time I made the coffee ice cream: http://ipso-fatto.blogspot.com/2011/08/baked-sunday-mornings-coffee-ice-cream.html
Loved both!

Just checking – is it just Little Baker Bunny and I that have been baking since the start? Has anyone else baked everything in the book?
