Interesting – didn’t think that the buttery layers would come out with all that folding, but voila! They did! And these definitely have a nice spicy kick with the cayenne.

Loved these!! What a fun way to start off Baked Occasions. This is a nice intro to laminated doughs, which I’m dying to learn how to make. Also, I dig the new BSM website design! :)

These were delish, but not sure I would go through the whole process again for such a simple cookie!

I forgot an important part to baking-follow the recipe. Even though I managed to really mess these up they were not too bad, which I believe is the true sign of a really great cookie.

    Love the new site layout.

I couldn’t stop eating them. I took the ones I didn’t eat to work, where they were very popular. The cayenne was a hit. My only complaint is that the recipe didn’t make near enough of these! http://www.porkcracklins.com/2014/11/election-palmiers/
