    Awesome recipe. Loved it, and would definitely make it again. I ended up poaching my own pears, which really was no trouble at all. The whiskey provides a perfect complement to the pears. I did feel it was a tiny bit time-consuming – many steps where you had to chill ingredients, etc. but it’s an excellent pay-off in the end. A great recipe to kick off fall!
