I finally got to make this cake– and an adventure it was! Super delicious, but kind of a hot mess…

I didn’t attempt the version in the book, but scaled it down to make cupcakes. Still cute!

This was a little time consuming, but worth it.

It tastes great — but not sure if it’s worth all of the trouble to just make chocolate cookies and whipped cream!

Couldn’t deal with a sweet and tempting cake this weekend so opted for an older Baked Cake, the Oatmeal, Chocolate Chip cake from Baked Explorations.

Can’t wait to go over everyone’s colorful posts!

I think this cake is delicious. But I’m secretly happy that I never have to make it again.

Luckily I tested this recipe when I had time…with end of school festivities, I never would have gotten around to making it this week! I definitely liked this one after it sat for a day or two, and the cookies were able to soften up. LOTS of work! ;)

I was looking forward to making this for pride festivities this weekend in NYC, but now I’m afraid. Very afraid! Especially if it’s not transport friendly. Hmm….
